Comments: The Crosman C31 is modeled after the Beretta 90two. The only significant departure from the 90two design is the placement of the mag release on the C31. The C31 appears to be made for Crosman by Wingun in Taiwan. It uses the same 18-shot magazine as the Umarex Beretta Elite II, the Firepower M84, and the Tanfoglio 1911 Witness, all of which are also made by Wingun. The body of the C31 is made entirely of plastic. The controls, except for the mag release, are all cosmetic. The gun uses a moving barrel design and has a smooth-bore barrel. The safety is the typical Wingun sliding switch located on the right side above the trigger. The trigger action is DAO and has a long smooth pull with an indistinct breaking point. The gun has excellent shot-to-shot velocity consistency and decent accuracy for a smooth-bore BB gun.

Performance: Measurements were made on 8/05/08 at a temperature of 74 F and 14' elevation. A ten shot string was fired from a bench rest at 15' using Daisy Avanti BBs (5.5 gr). The highest velocity measured was 463 fps, the lowest was 455 fps (average of the 10-shot string was 460 fps, s = 2). A six shot string fired off-hand with open sights grouped at 0.82". Right Profile:
Sights: The C31 uses fiber optic sights front and rear. The front sight can be moved side-to-side to adjust for windage. The sight is loose in the dovetail, so be careful it doesn't fall out. The rear sight is fixed.
Front View: The magazine release is located just behind the trigger guard and is ambidextrous. Other than the safety switch, it is the only working control on the gun. All of the replica controls (slide mounted safety, hammer, slide lock lever, etc.) are molded as part of the frame and slide.
Right Side Markings:
Left Side Markings:
Loading BBs:
Loading CO2: The plastic grip cover slides back to reveal the CO2 loading chamber. The piercing screw at the base of the grip is hidden when the grip cover slides forward.

Packaging: The standard package for the Crosman C31 includes a nylon holster.
