Comments: The Daisy 008 is styled after the South African Vector CP1. It is designed to shoot both lead pellets and steel BBs from an 8-shot removable clip (magnets in the clip hold the BBs in place). The trigger on this airgun is two-stage and the action is DA only. The trigger pull is a reasonable 7.25 lb, which isn't bad for a DAO pistol. When used with good pellets, the Daisy 008 is capable of respectable accuracy. It's too bad the rear sight isn't adjustable. The gun feels good in the hand and points well, but could use a little more weight toward the muzzle. Daisy originally announced this gun in 2004, but it wasn't released to the market until early 2006.

Performance: Measurements were made on 10/29/06 at a temperature of 69 ºF and 14' elevation. A ten shot string was fired from a bench rest at 15' using RWS R-10 pellets (7.0 gr). The highest velocity measured was 437 fps, the lowest was 412 fps (average of the 10-shot string was 427 fps). A six shot string fired with open sights grouped at 0.51".
