Comments: Made by Gamo in Spain for RWS Diana. This gun is similar to the Gamo R-77 Classic but uses a Diana manufactured rifled steel barrel. Unlike the Gamo models, the under-barrel lug on the Diana only extends half-way down the barrel. The trigger is gritty, but this is getting better with use. The accuracy is good, but not outstanding. The performance of this gun is nearly identical to the Gamo R-77 Classic (6") from which it is derived. The addition of the Diana barrel does not seem to have improved the performance over the stock Gamo R-77.

Performance: Measurements were made on 8/29/06 at a temperature of 89 F and 14' elevation. A ten shot string was fired from a bench rest at 15' using JSB Match Diabolo pellets (8.0 gr). The highest velocity measured was 419 fps, the lowest was 343 fps (average of the 10-shot string was 365 fps). A six shot string fired with open sights grouped at 0.46".
