Comments: This is a very well built replica of the Walther P88. It has pretty good accuracy for an airgun with a 3.75" barrel. The left-side slide release lever is a little difficult to operate, similar to the CP88 Competition and the RWS C225. Umarex introduced this gun in 1995 and it was the first replica airgun that they made. In 2006, Umarex celebrated the production of its first million replica air pistols.

Pyramyd Air Report on the Walther CP88.

Performance: Measurements were made on 3/01/07 at a temperature of 69 F and 14' elevation. A ten shot string was fired from a bench rest at 15' using RWS R-10 pellets (7.0 gr). The highest velocity measured was 407 fps, the lowest was 358 fps (average of the 10-shot string was 371 fps). A six shot string fired with open sights grouped at 0.69".
