Comments: This is a faithful replica from Umarex of the Walther P99 right down to the metal slide, polymer body, and interchangeable backstrap. It uses the 8-shot rotary magazine common to Umarex designs and a well-designed CO2 cartridge system. With practice, this gun is very accurate considering its short barrel. It will fire in both single and double-action mode, but the single-action cocking mechanism is very stiff. The trigger is two-stage, with a very long first stage. There is a decocking button on the left rear of the slide for use when firing in single-action mode. The Trophy model comes with a Walther Top Point red-dot sight and mounting bracket as shown in these photos.

Performance: Measurements were made on 8/08/06 at a temperature of 84 F and 14' elevation. A ten shot string was fired from a bench rest at 15' using JSB Match Diabolo pellets (8.0 gr). The highest velocity measured was 364 fps, the lowest was 328 fps (average of the 10-shot string was 342 fps). A six shot string fired with a red-dot sight grouped at 0.33". Loading CO2: The CO2 cartridge loading system allows the CO2 cylinder to be removed and reinserted without losing pressure. It is a very quick way to change CO2 bulbs.
